I was recently thinking about a point in history in the bible, that tells of the love story of Jacob and Rachel. Jacob fell in deeply love with Rachel when he first saw her, however it came with a price. He had to work to marry her and he had to wait. He worked for seven years and was then deceived into marrying her older sister but it didn’t stop him from continuing to work as well as wait for Rachel.
He worked and waited for fourteen years to marry the love of his life. His love for her and his faith in God gave him the strength to wait. Every day, every moment, that passed allowed his love for her to simply grow stronger.
Rachel also had to wait
Can you imagine knowing exactly who your heart yearns for and knowing its God but you still have to wait? Going through your everyday life, while counting the days. Seeing the one you love so much day in and day out but not being able to be with them.
That’s beyond deep folks.
Lord, give me the wisdom and the strength to work as well as wait.
Much love,
Beautiful Black Cat
