As I sit in tears this morning asking God to heal my heart from pains of my past, those words flowed through my lips. I have been blessed to survive rejection, abuse, and internal injuries to my mind as well as my spirit. The situations that almost killed me gave me strength. The confusion that could have sent me to the mental hospital gave me wisdom. The rejection and abandonment I felt taught me how to love.

Everything whether good or bad has allowed me to become a stronger me. God has given me the strength to move forward, time and time again. My past will not hold me hostage in the jail of unforgiveness. It can no longer fill me with distrust and uncertainty. Again I say, my past is my power and I chose to use it to lift up others.

Our past is just that ….the past.

Learn from it.

Move past it.

Get free of it.

Your past is waiting to become your power.

Much love,

Beautiful Black Cat

I absolutely love putting it in writing! When I write I release a part of me that was hidden from the world. For years I would only write to help me navigate through this thing called life, however, writing has become my closest friend. I am a self-published author with a desire to help people know there is always HOPE. Hope for a better tomorrow, hope to live another day, and HOPE TO KNOW LIFE DOES GET BETTER. To my readers, I say "Live FREE and Die WELL" (Quote from the Rock in the movie Scorpion King~lol). Hope is always found in letting go.

  1. Powerful truth! Psalm 138:8 says, “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: Thy mercy, O Lord, endureth forever; forsake NOT the works of thine own hands.
