SOME WORDS AND VIDEO
MAY BE OFFENSIVE
(I make no apologies)
The call to every Christian is to take up our Cross and follow Jesus however are we really answering the call. For a minute I have been noticing a common theme throughout the Body of Christ, that has lead me to this post. Some (not all) Pastors and teachers spend countless time in the pulpit teaching smooth things such as, “How to get to the next level”, “How to maximize this season to be the best you”, etc. etc.
This should not be! What happened to equipping the body with the word of God to BUILD HIS KINGDOM, PERIOD. Once we accepted Christ we received all that pertains to life and godliness in Him.
Where is the hunger and thirst after righteousness at?
Who told the church it would be easy to carry the cross of Christ? If we take a minute to think about Jesus’ journey to calvary, we would REPENT (oh Lord I just cussed).
The CROSS was painful.
The CROSS was bloody.
The CROSS was not desirable.
The CROSS was gruesome.
The CROSS was hard.
THE CROSS WAS NECESSARY.
The cross of Calvary was an ultimate picture of love and forgiveness. We as Christians need to get on our knees and repent. We got it twisted, when we think serving God and taking up our cross to follow him means a bed of ease. HECK TO THE NAW FOLKS!!
God gave HIS only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, will have everlasting life and shall not perish.
The CROSS gave us victory over the devil(the real enemy) in this life.
The CROSS gave us eternal life with God.
The CROSS gave us peace that passes all understanding.
THE CROSS GAVE US POWER.
Much love,
Beautiful Black Cat
