A few days ago, it rained really hard for about 10 minutes then stopped. The sun began to come through the clouds and it was amazing. My first thought was, “Wow! God is so amazing!” I thought about all the times where life seemed to continuously beat me down without letting up. The times when I didn’t know what to do or where to turn. However, just like that downpour, my life didn’t stay in that condition. Don’t get me wrong, I still have my issues but the SON is breaking through.
I close my eyes and tears begin to roll down my cheeks
The thought of peace and life flood my very being
The thought of joy and gladness has finally come to my doorstep
After the rain I can see the breaking of day
After the rain this race called life can be ran with vitality and vigor
After the rain I can now appreciate the sun
My heart is full, my eyes have dried, I can live, I can be fully me
After the rain
